3. Appointments, Cancellations, and Rescheduling
3.1 Booking
Appointments may be booked online, by phone, or in person. When you book, you are responsible for providing accurate contact information and vehicle details.
3.2 Deposits
For certain services (including, but not limited to, ceramic coatings and multi-day details), we may require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. The deposit amount and terms will be disclosed at the time of booking.
3.3 Cancellations & No-Shows
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least [24] hours before your appointment time.
-
Cancellations or reschedules with less than [24] hours’ notice may result in loss of deposit and/or a cancellation fee.
-
No-shows (failing to appear without notice) may be charged up to the full service amount and may require prepayment for future bookings.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Estimates
Prices listed on our website or provided by phone/text/email are estimates based on typical vehicle condition. Final pricing may be adjusted based on:
-
Size and type of vehicle
-
Condition level (heavily soiled, pet hair, stains, odors, etc.)
-
Additional services requested or required
If a substantial price adjustment is needed due to condition, we will inform you and request your approval before proceeding.
4.2 Payment
Payment is due at the time services are completed, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the forms of payment listed on our website or in our shop (e.g., cash, major credit/debit cards, etc.).
We reserve the right to withhold the vehicle until full payment has been received.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
-
Provide accurate information about your vehicle and requested services.
-
Remove all personal items and valuables from the vehicle prior to service.
-
Disclose any known issues or hazards, including mechanical problems, leaks, loose trim, damaged parts, or prior paint/body repairs.
-
Provide access to the vehicle at the scheduled time (keys, parking, any security codes if mobile service is offered).
If we are unable to access the vehicle or it is not in a workable location/condition, we may treat the appointment as a late cancellation or no-show.
6. Condition of Vehicle & Pre-Existing Damage
We will perform a visual inspection before and/or after service and may document the condition with photos or notes.
You acknowledge that:
-
Pre-existing damage (scratches, dents, chips, worn clear coat, tears in upholstery, etc.) may become more noticeable after cleaning and detailing.
-
Certain stains, odors, etching, or defects cannot be fully removed and may only be improved.
-
We will use reasonable care but are not responsible for the failure of old, weak, or improperly repaired materials (e.g., brittle plastics, failing clear coat, loose moldings).
If we observe significant pre-existing damage, we will attempt to note it before service. However, failure to identify every defect does not shift responsibility for prior damage to us.
7. Personal Items and Valuables
Please remove all personal items and valuables before your appointment. This includes, but is not limited to: cash, electronics, jewelry, documents, firearms, and other items of value.
We are not responsible for loss of or damage to any personal items left in your vehicle, whether before, during, or after service.
8. Use of Chemicals and Products
We use professional-grade cleaning and detailing products appropriate for automotive surfaces. If you have any allergies, sensitivities, or concerns about specific products or fragrances, you must notify us before your appointment.
We are not responsible for reactions or sensitivities that were not disclosed in advance.
9. Photos, Video, and Marketing
We may take before-and-after photos or videos of vehicles for documentation, training, and marketing purposes (e.g., social media, website, advertisements), while taking reasonable steps not to disclose personal identifying information (license plates may be blurred or omitted, at our discretion).
If you do not want images of your vehicle used for marketing, please inform us in writing before service begins.
10. Limited Warranty & Satisfaction
We stand behind our work and want you to be satisfied.
-
If you are not satisfied with the result, notify us within 24–48 hours of service and, if reasonable, bring the vehicle back for inspection.
-
If we determine that an issue is related to workmanship (and not to vehicle condition, normal wear, or environmental factors after service), we may, at our discretion, re-perform the affected portion of the service.
We do not guarantee complete removal of all stains, odors, defects, scratches, swirls, or etching. Results will vary based on vehicle condition, age, and materials.
No refunds are provided for services that have been fully performed, except as required by law.
11. Ceramic Coatings, Sealants, and Specialty Services
For premium services (such as ceramic coatings):
-
We will provide general care instructions and maintenance recommendations.
-
Coating and protection performance depends heavily on proper maintenance and environmental conditions.
-
We do not guarantee any particular lifespan, gloss level, or scratch resistance beyond what is stated in the product manufacturer’s written warranty, if applicable.
Any claims under a manufacturer warranty are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and procedures.
12. Mobile Services (If Applicable)
If we provide mobile detailing:
-
You are responsible for providing a safe and legal location for service, with sufficient space and access.
-
We may refuse or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe, violate local regulations, or are otherwise unsuitable (e.g., restricted parking, severe weather, lack of space).
Additional travel fees may apply for certain locations or distances.
13. Weather, Delays, and Force Majeure
We may reschedule or modify services due to:
-
Severe weather
-
Power or water outages (for mobile work)
-
Illness, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
We are not liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience resulting from delays or rescheduling, but we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a new appointment time.
14. Damage and Liability Limitations
We will use reasonable care and skill while working on your vehicle. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law:
-
Shine Auto Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing damage or for the failure of old, weak, or previously repaired or repainted surfaces.
-
Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service on the date of the incident.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (such as loss of use of the vehicle, lost time, or lost income) arising out of or related to our services.
15. Communications, SMS, and Email
By providing your phone number and/or email address, you agree that we may contact you regarding:
-
Appointment confirmations, reminders, and updates
